Multiplier Events Showcase GreenVET Results Across Europe

During the final phase of the GreenVET project, partners organised multiplier events across Europe to present the project's results, engage stakeholders, and promote dialogue on sustainability in Vocational Education and Training (VET). Together, these events attracted more than 400 participants, including VET teachers, trainers, school leaders, students, policymakers, researchers, SMEs, and representatives of educational institutions.

While all events focused on the dissemination of GreenVET results, each partner adapted the format to its national context and audience. In Greece, the event placed particular emphasis on the GreenVET Framework and Online Path, presenting them to VET students and teachers from Romania and Turkey and generating clear interest in further exploring the platform. In Slovenia, the multiplier event took the form of an expert meeting, with a strong focus on sustainability challenges in the construction sector and their relevance to VET. Latvia organised a large one-day event, connected with other Erasmus+ initiatives, where the GreenVET tools were presented to a broad audience from VET, higher education, NGOs and business. Italy held an on-site conference, ECO Day 2026, which presented the project outcomes to a large audience and became one of the strongest multiplier moments in terms of participation. In Germany, the event combined conference, presentation and workshop elements, focusing on the Whole Institution Approach and the role of schools as examples for others. In Cyprus, two events introduced the GreenVET tools to mixed audiences from education, policy, SMEs and research, while Finland contributed through an online presentation format, supporting wider accessibility and participation.

The events highlighted the value of cooperation between education, industry, and public authorities. In some countries, GreenVET was presented alongside other Erasmus+ initiatives, allowing participants to compare approaches and identify synergies between projects working towards similar goals. Expert presentations, panel discussions, and interactive workshops encouraged participants to reflect on their own practices and identify concrete actions for their institutions.

A particularly encouraging outcome was the strong interest shown in the project's practical tools. Participants appreciated the accessibility of the resources and their potential to support sustainability efforts in schools, training organisations, and workplaces. Many expressed a desire to further explore the Online Path, while others highlighted the Database and Framework as valuable sources of inspiration and guidance.

The multiplier events also reinforced one of GreenVET's central messages: sustainability is most effective when approached collectively. Whether through discussions on green skills, debates on institutional change, or examples of successful practices, participants repeatedly emphasised the importance of involving the entire educational community in sustainability efforts.

By bringing together diverse stakeholders and creating opportunities for dialogue and learning, the multiplier events significantly increased the visibility of GreenVET and contributed to ensuring that its results will continue to support sustainable development in VET long after the project has ended.
