Diese Unterrichtseinheit führt die Schülerinnen in das Phänomen der städtischen Wärmeinseln ein, bei dem Städte aufgrund menschlicher Aktivitäten und Infrastruktur deutlich wärmer sind als ihr ländliches Umland. Durch das Modellieren von Minderungs‑ und Anpassungsstrategien lernen die Schülerinnen, wie Stadtplanung und Klimaschutz die zukünftigen Klimabedingungen in Städten gestalten können.

What is the resource about? (in English)

This lesson introduces students to the urban heat island effect, which causes cities to be significantly warmer than surrounding rural areas due to human activities and infrastructure. By modeling mitigation and adaptation strategies, students learn how urban planning and climate action can shape the future of city climates.
