What is the resource about?
The “Cours Oasis” programme transforms schoolyards in Paris into cooler, greener, more inclusive spaces that help counter urban heat islands. Since its launch under Paris’s Resilience Strategy (2017), the city has redesigned more than 160–165 playgrounds and plans several hundred more by 2030, using measures like de‑sealed permeable soils, shade, vegetation, and rainwater features to improve youth wellbeing and climate resilience.
