Il progetto Erasmus+ “Empowering Students for Sustainable Futures” nasce dal desiderio condiviso di quattro scuole europee di formare studenti più consapevoli, preparati e coinvolti nei grandi temi della sostenibilità ambientale e dei cambiamenti climatici. Ogni scuola partner installerà una stazione meteo-ambientale per raccogliere dati su parametri come temperatura, umidità e qualità dell’aria, che studenti e insegnanti utilizzeranno per attività di analisi dati, programmazione e scienze ambientali. Il progetto include mobilità internazionali, scambi culturali, attività di cittadinanza attiva, conferenze e interventi pratici come pulizia di spiagge o orti sostenibili, con un’attenzione particolare all’inclusione di studenti in condizioni di svantaggio

What is the resource about? (in English)

The Erasmus+ “Empowering Students for Sustainable Futures” project was created by four European schools to educate students to be more aware, prepared and engaged with issues of environmental sustainability and climate change. Each partner school will install an environmental weather station to collect data on temperature, humidity and air quality, which students and teachers will use for data analysis, programming and environmental science activities. The project includes international mobility, cultural exchange, active citizenship activities, workshops and experiential interventions such as beach clean-ups or sustainable gardens, with a strong focus on inclusion for disadvantaged students.

Why is the resource useful for VET actors?

Questa risorsa è utile per gli attori VET perché offre un esempio di come un partenariato Erasmus+ possa combinare competenze digitali, scientifiche e ambientali con attività pratiche di raccolta dati e analisi in un contesto transnazionale. Il coinvolgimento in Internet of Things (IoT), programmazione, cloud computing e data analysis collegato a parametri ambientali reali prepara gli studenti a competenze tecniche avanzate sempre più richieste nei settori delle tecnologie verdi e della sostenibilità. Inoltre, gli scambi culturali e le attività di cittadinanza attiva sui temi del clima e dell’ambiente rafforzano competenze trasversali (collaborazione internazionale, comunicazione, consapevolezza etica) fondamentali per la formazione professionale moderna.

Why is the resource useful for VET actors? (in English)

This resource is valuable for VET actors because it shows how an Erasmus+ project can integrate digital, scientific and environmental competencies with hands-on data collection and analysis within a transnational partnership. Engagement with Internet of Things (IoT), programming, cloud computing and data analysis linked to real environmental parameters prepares students for technical skills increasingly relevant in green technologies and sustainability sectors. Furthermore, cultural exchanges and active citizenship activities on climate and environmental themes help build transversal skills (international collaboration, communication, ethical awareness) that are essential in modern vocational training.
